About Airdri and Formula Systems 

Based in Oxford, Airdri is internationally recognised as a world leader of warm air hand dryers and elevator door detection systems, which it distributes under the brand name of Formula Systems.

Sales, marketing, finance, product design, engineering, quality, customer service, supply chain and logistics are all controlled from our UK office.

We have set up Airdri Guangzhou, our own production, warehouse and office facility in China. Airdri Guangzhou has two key functions: – Production and distribution of hand dryers – Servicing our elevator customers in China (products supplied by our manufacturing partners)

We have also set up a joint venture, Formula Optics Technology, in Yuyao to manufacture our edges and a manufacturing agreement with Scanfil (Suzhou) to produce our speech units.

Formula Systems North America, a wholly owned division of Airdri, is based in Chicago and services our elevator customers in this market as well as acting as a logistics hub for our largest US hand dryer customer.

The Airdri Group sell products worldwide through distributor partnerships as well as directly.

Team

This Manager is part of the Senior Management Team.

Role Purpose

To work with the buyers and production engineering teams within Airdri GZ and FOT and will ensure that both material sourcing and production engineering is effective.

Base: Eynsham, Oxfordshire

Direct reports: All buyers and 1 Production Engineer

  • Non-Stock purchasing / low value suppliers
  • Freight
  • Agreeing MOQ’s / MOV’s / Pack sizes
  • Expediting
  • Day to day problem solving
  • Packaging

Company Accountabilities (Value Engineering):

  • Maximise production efficiency
  • BOM scrutiny
  • Implement modern production techniques
  • Manage ECN process
  • Advise R&D and engineering on design for manufacture issues
  • Manage manufacturing capex projects
